How
it works
Inline-Ox
- Highly engineered venturi for maximum oxygen uptake efficiency
The Inline-Ox can increase dissolved oxygen up to 400% saturation
with uptake efficiency conservatively set at 60%!
Inline-Ox consists of an entrance cone, an orifice plate used
to control pressure drop, and an area of extremely high turbulence
directly behind orifice plate.
The entrance cone side streams water so the orifice flows full
without vena contracts characteristic of a thin plate orifice.
Gas is distributed around the periphery of the water stream
flowing through the orifice for aquaculture.
Either bottled or generated oxygen is injected under pressure
into mixer directly in front of the orifice plate where liquid
velocity is highest and liquid pressure is lowest.
The water stream carries the gaseous oxygen through orifice
plate into region of extremely high turbulence where the oxygen
dissolves into the water before it is returned to the main stream.
System Specifications
Inline-Ox installs directly into existing pipeline.
Requires pressure of about 20 psi from re-circulating
pump or well, or a natural head from a higher spring or water
source.
